Mavis McConnon

Mavis Del Pesco is Rx-Fit's Co-Owner and CFO. She was born and raised in Montreal Canada and moved to Los Angeles in 1992. She was schooled in Economics in Canada. She opened her first company at age 21 and has always been an "outside the box" thinker and creator. She hired Rx-Fit at age 26 after several failed attempts to exercise to reduce stress. Exercising as a client with Rx-Fit gave her a perspective of how important personal training would become as the population aged. She was so impressed with the vision of the founder, she left a career in Corporate America and joined Rx-Fit in 1992. Since then she has become certified as a Lifestyle and Weight Management counselor with the American Council on Exercise. She is emphatic about the vision of health and prevention in America. Mavis McConnon is also a licensed Realtor and a member of the California Association of Realtors.

Gabriela Roth Girnius:

Gabriela Roth-Girnius is Rx-Fit's Vice President of Administration and provides operations and support for all Rx-Fit locations. She was born in Zurich Switzerland and moved to the US in 1962. Schooled in Hollywood, Gaby has provided Rx-Fit's staff and clients with the kind of solid support necessary to keep the vision of Rx-Fit on a growth track. Her commitment to customer service standards and attention to detail helps give Rx-Fit a reputation not only as the experts in fitness, but add to that the quality service and administration that plays such a large role in the success of Rx-Fit.

Positions Available

Rx-Fit has been recruiting and training elite personal trainers for over 20 years. Long before many certification companies even came about, we set the standards for exercise instruction, service standards and sports nutrition. Our trainers are hand picked with a degree in exercise science and friendly likable disposition. From there they are trained on Rx-Fit personal training program consisting of theory and practical in all aspects of exercise. Once they complete the program they are phased into a shift by apprenticing with a staff trainer. They are qualified only after passing several monthly reviews.

We operate upscale, full-service fitness facilities in Encino, Calabasas and soon to open in Tarzana, along with our well established Home Fitness Services Division. We offer an integrated selection of Rx-Fit-branded exercise programs, services and products, including Strength/Cardio, Ab Exactor, Y.E.S. youth classes, RX-fit, apparel and exercise supplies.

Job Duties.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Successful completion of Rx-Fit Personal Trainer Certification.
  
• Exercise instruction, fitness evaluations, client charting.
  
• Manage client programs.
  

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have the following experience, skills, and education:

• Current C.P.R., or First Aid.
  
• Bachelors or Associates Degree is in Kinesiology, exercise physiology or exercise science considered a plus.
  
• Must be ambitious and knowledgeable regarding the fitness industry.
  
• One year or more of experience in the fitness industry.
